When you are 21, you really have life figured out, right?
I felt like I was supposed to and that I must be missing the boat. Completely directionless and upside down with most of what I thought I knew about myself and my life, I started therapy. I didn’t have close relationships or think they were important, follow through on what I committed to was a nice thought, and I didn’t know that I would ever feel that my life had meaning again. Therapy started changing all of that for me.
I love working with individuals and couples when we are diving into their stories and learning what is important to them and transforming suffering into meaning.
Becoming a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) was an easy choice for me. My life has been affected on multiple levels by sexual/pornography addiction.
I trained with the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals so that I can best understand all of the moving parts in working with addicts and their partners. I have continued training to better help my clients by training to use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and effective methods for helping couples.
I live in Ogden, Utah with my wife and two boys. I love reading, watching, and listening to riveting stories. On the weekends, I can be found tending my beehive, doing something in my yard, or hiking in the mountains near my home.
